Organic Foods

It is important to eat organic foods because they are healthier. Certified organic foods don't have chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides in them.

People who are sick think that they can just go to the doctor and get some pills or medicine and expect to be cured. Their symptoms may be cured but the disease is still with them. Roger French describes it this way in his book, "The Man Who Lived in Three Centuries":

"Consider a garbage can. If the can is full of garbage, there will be rats and flies around it. We can shoot the rats with a rifle and spray the flies with poison, but as long as the garbage is there, rats and flies will keep coming. If we tip the rubbish out and clean the can, no rats or flies will keep coming and we will no longer need our rifle or pesticide to be free of them,"

As far as we are concerned, we should be thinking about our bodies and how we should be keeping it in tip-top condition, starting with the blood. If we keep our blood clean and full of nutrients, we'll be fine.

But if we consume the wrong things like junk food, sweets, alcohol, processed and microwaved foods and drugs, then we're going to have problems. You cannot expect to remain healthy if you consume the aforementioned things. Your blood will NOT be good enough to keep you healthy. Whatever you take in through your mouth or whatever is in your mind will determine the quality of your body and mind.

Your body is NOT like your car. If something breaks, you can't go to the mechanic(doctor), and get a replacement part, or expect to get it fixed and keep going without something else going wrong. Doctors treat symptoms not diseases.

If you get a cold and the doctor gives you medicine for the symptoms, the toxins or germs that caused the cold will remain in the body and manifest themselves another way, possibly in the form of flu or worse. These symptoms are the body's way of telling you to get rid of these toxins. The more the toxins are suppressed, the sicker you'll become, down the road.

So what does one do to deal with a cold? The laws of nature and your body say to rest, and either "fast" or reduce the amount of solid foods you take-in so your body can rest and recuperate. Drink plenty of clean water to flush the toxins from your body.

Now diseases are caused by poor diet, stress, and the toxins in the environment. If you can nullify the effects of these causes, then you have an excellent chance of recovery from your disease. In a 1936 document from the U.S.Senate, it was stated that-- "Our physical well-being is more directly dependent on minerals we take into our systems than calories or vitamins, or upon precise proportion of starch, protein or carbohydrates we consume...". WE ARE WHAT WE EAT.

Today's youth have faulty immune systems because of the junk foods and fast-foods which are devoid of nutrients that should be consumed in order to stay healthy. The chemicals and preservatives used in the processing of today's foods are doing us more harm that good. So are the chemicals and fertilizers used in raising our crops and farm animals for food, including farm-raised fish. The fertilizers in the soil are in some fish due to run-off of the fertilizers.

We have also found that some studies have shown that Omega-3 Fish Oils are even MORE important than the Omega-6's. They have shown that farm raised fish given a diet that included Omega-6 supplements were NOT as healthy as wild-caught fish because of the Omega-3's that were not found in the farm-raised fish's systems. So we recommend shopping for wild-caught, natural fish and fish products, as well as organically raised meat, like bison and some healthy chicken.

It is also important to refrain from ingesting too much of the processed foods because of the chemical preservatives and additives used in the canning and freezing of these foods. Studies have shown that certain chemicals are carcinogens, or cause adverse reactions in humans especially children. So we recommend eating organic foods that are certified as NOT containing harmful chemical additives or preservatives.
